Horseback Riding for Every Experience Level
Horseback riding is not just for experienced riders; we are happy to accommodate and teach the basics to all of our guests! Our wranglers are here to help you learn mounting, walking, stopping, turning, and backing up. And if you need extra training, you can ask our wranglers to help you work on something specific in the arena.
As a person who had never been on a horse before visiting the ranch, I can attest that the welcoming crew at Rawah helped me feel safe and comfortable every step of the way. Before the ride, they answered all my questions and even stopped on the trail to help me adjust my stirrups. You also ride the same horse throughout your stay, and as your trip continues, you will feel like you and your horse are old friends!
Please keep in mind that there is a 250lb rider weight limit and that skill and weight restrictions may apply for certain riding activities.
Experience a Variety of Trail Options
Your all-inclusive horseback riding vacation offers access to a variety of trails for all skill levels, both on and off the property, including:
- The Valley: This trail provides a leisurely route through the valley, perfect for walking, trotting, and loping.
- Lily Pond: Ride along the east ridge to a scenic pond with minimal inclines. Keep an eye out for moose along the trail!
- Peterson: This trail takes you through a mix of flat, open, and hilly riding areas.
- Waterfall: This walk-only ride takes you to a gorgeous waterfall in the mountains.
- Ditch: A ride that takes you along the historic Rawah Diversion Ditch, which includes ledges and inclines.
- Skyline: This is the most challenging ride on the property, but it offers picturesque views of the valleys and Rawah Peaks.
For more experienced riders, we offer all-day rides off the property, so guests of all skill levels can make the most of their day on the trails!
We Provide Boots and Helmets
One of the benefits of choosing an all-inclusive ranch is almost everything you need to ride is included. We provide cowboy boots and helmets, so you don’t have to worry about buying extra equipment for your getaway. All you need is long pants and a sense of adventure!
Everything is Included: Activities, Lodging, & Meals
In addition to horseback riding, your all-inclusive package includes other activities to keep you entertained, like fly fishing, hiking, shooting, archery, and paddle boarding. In the afternoon, you can enjoy even more fun activities like volleyball, badminton, corn-hole, croquet, or frisbee golf.
