What You’ll Do:

  • Activity Planning: Develop and organize a variety of age-appropriate activities, games, and adventures that cater to the interests and imaginations of our guests.
  • Guided Activities: Oversee and lead our guests in group activities, including archery, axe throwing, skeet/rifle shooting, paddle boating, or hiking up and into the amazing Rawah wilderness.

  • Event Coordination: Organize special events, and themed parties for the guests as requested (we do have advanced notice of party requests – so you won’t always have to make it up as you go) 😊, ensuring each gathering is a memorable celebration.
  • Safety: Prioritize the safety and well-being of every wrangler on the Ranch, demonstrating, implementing, and enforcing all necessary safety protocols.

  • Expert Rider: Demonstrated horsemanship skills and experience in handling and caring for horses. 1-3 years of recent experience as a Wrangler working with guests on a dude ranch required, including leading group rides, working in and around the barn and pastures.
  • Wrangler Safety Certification: Rawah Ranch will sponsor this certification for hired wranglers prior to the start of the ranch season.
  • Excellent Communication: The ability to communicate effectively with guests of all ages and backgrounds, creating a positive and memorable experience. Must be fluent in English (written & verbal). Additional languages a plus!
  • Passion for the Outdoors: An appreciation for nature, the great outdoors, and a genuine enthusiasm for sharing the beauty of the ranch with others – rain or shine (weather & safety permitting) you’re always up for daily rides & guest requests. Prior knowledge of the Rawah Wilderness and surround areas.
  • Team Player: A collaborative spirit, ready to work alongside fellow wranglers and ranch staff to ensure a seamless and enjoyable guest experience. Wranglers need a “never say no” attitude (except for safety reasons, of course) and flexibility to adjust responsibilities as unexpected issues arise. Willingness to work any/all hours and provide coverage for other positions as needed.
  • Safety Conscious: Safety is the #1 priority for guests and employees of Rawah Ranch. Prioritize the safety of guests and horses, adhering to all ranch policies and procedures.
  • Toughness: Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time (trail rides), kneel, crawl, push, pull, and lift hay bales 50-100 lbs.
