Recipes from the Rawah Ranch Kitchen

Having been several years in the making, we’re thrilled to finally announce the release of our Executive Chef Ford’s cookbook that was, truthfully, not really his idea at the outset. In fact, the inspiration came from the many guests we’ve hosted over the years who, time and again, expressed the same full-bellied sentiment:

“Ford, you know, we came for the allure of adventure but it seems like all we do is eat!”

So, here’s to all those who’ve dined at our table, spent evenings laughing over the days’ events, and have relished the process of becoming part of the Rawah Ranch family over all those shared meals. We hope you enjoy the recipes that serve as a venue to reflect on the memories you made with us at Rawah.

From the introduction:

“For me, food has always held a special place in my heart. All the greatest memories in my life seem to revolve around food. As a child, I can remember one of my fondest memories was that of coming down the stairs to be greeted by the wonderful aroma of bread baking. My mother, who was a great cook in my eyes, would spend as much time in the kitchen as she could preparing made-from-scratch meals for my sister and I. Many times, I found myself in the kitchen with my mother, and when I was old enough, she was putting me to work. From mixing stuff, to cutting homemade pasta, I always found that the kitchen was such a happy place and full of love. That is what has kept me in this business for long. I love making people making people happy and cooking for them is the way I can do that.

I hope this book will bring you some of that joy and happiness that I feel when I cook. And just remember what Virginia Woolf once said, ‘One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well.’

Bon Appetite!”

For those who want to recreate the meals they’ve enjoyed at Rawah, or those who want a taste of what we’re serving, order your own copy of the book HERE. Happy cooking!
