The story of Rawah begins almost 75 years ago—in 1948—when a man by the name of Ralph Jordan had the great foresight to establish Rawah Ranch, not as a working cattle ranch, but as a place for guests to simply visit—to stay in comfortable accommodations, enjoy hearty meals, and take in the beauty of the surrounding Colorado wilderness.
Over the decades, the hundreds of families who have called Rawah home have crafted what’s become a storied legacy of the ranch: a place where every individual contributes to our heritage, generations gather to make lifelong memories, and our visitors arrive as guests but leave as members of the Rawah Family.
In 2015 under the same ownership of now more than a decade, Rawah Ranch brought on our new Managers, Tim and Meg Dyer, who are committed to that legacy of Rawah as a family guest ranch and an extension of home. “We just want to continue the history of the Rawah Ranch, bringing families back year after year like we’ve done since its beginning. And we’re excited about getting to do that,” said Meg about what she looks forward to this season.
We’ve asked our guests what makes Rawah such a unique experience, and the theme that continues from season to season is the feeling that being at Rawah is like “coming home.” This year as we’re just getting into our season, and right as we’re preparing for Family Week over the Fourth of July, we are refocusing our vision on the history that’s being written with the arrival of each new guest. As you are heading this direction for the summer, or considering a trip with us, we are thrilled to invite you into the making of our legacy, and look forward to making you one of the newest members of the Rawah Ranch family.
We can’t wait to welcome you home to Rawah.
