A Day in the Life at Our Guest Ranch in Colorado

Each guest ranch in Colorado offers an authentic, All-American vacation experience. But every guest ranch is unique and offers something different to fulfill your Western vacation dreams. At Rawah Ranch, we’re here to give you a glimpse into a typical day at our ranch to help you determine if it’s the right fit for you. Start your mornings with breakfast in the Lodge, spend your afternoons enjoying authentic Western activities, and unwind with evening entertainment. Read on to learn more about a day in the life at our ranch:

Morning at Rawah Ranch

7:00 am-9:00 am: Breakfast

Wake up every morning to coffee and warm pastries delivered to your cabin door. Enjoy a warm cup of coffee on your front porch while viewing the Rawah Wilderness. Then, head over to the Main Lodge for a delicious restaurant-style breakfast. Order from our breakfast menu featuring delicious options like fresh fruit, yogurt, homemade granola, pancakes, waffles, and eggs. After breakfast, you are ready for a day of adventures!

9:00 am: Morning Activities Offered

You can sign up for the following day’s activities every evening in the Lodge. Choose from authentic Western activities like horseback riding, fly-fishing, skeet shooting, archery range, guided hiking, biking, water sports, and the children’s program. 

Afternoon

12 pm: Lunch

After your morning activities, return to the Lodge for a buffet-style lunch. Expect a variety of hot entree options, such as soups, salads, homemade pizza, pasta, or beef and turkey burgers on the grill. 

2:00 pm Afternoon Activities

We offer the same activities in the afternoon as in the morning, except for the children’s program. You can also take advantage of lawn games during the afternoon, such as volleyball, can jam, corn hole, croquet, boccie ball, or frisbee golf.

Evening

5:30 Cocktail Hour and Hors D’oeuvres

Head over to the Lodge before dinner for complimentary cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. Socialize with other guests staying at the ranch and share your favorite adventures from the day. 

6:30 Dinner

After cocktail hour, you are invited to dinner in our family-style dining room. Enjoy creative, satisfying, wholesome, and elegant dishes using sustainable and locally sourced ingredients when possible. 

8:00 pm: Evening Entertainment

After dinner, we offer fun evening entertainment for our guests, such as:

-Square Dancing

-Live Music and Storytelling in the Lodge

-Casino Night at the Saloon

-Trivia Night

-Bonfires & Smores

-Stargazing

Ranch Amenities and Activities

Take advantage of these amenities and activities at our guest ranch in Colorado:

-Soak in the hot tub behind the Lodge after a day on the saddle.

-Visit the saloon and play shuffleboard, foosball, pool, darts, or poker together. Or try on the Western clothes behind the bar for fun photo ops!

-Hang out in the Lodge and read a book by the fireplace or play board games.

-Walk around the ranch and say hello to our horses, donkeys, pigs, goats, chickens, and cows. 

-Please keep in mind that the Lodge, Saloon, and Hot Tub close at 10:00 pm.
