Children’s Program at Rawah Ranch
Our Children’s Program is available every morning of your stay and is designed for children ages 4-10. Experienced activity coordinators lead the program while adults set out on their own adventures for the day. If you have children under the age of 4 or over ten interested in the program, feel free to contact us, and we can set up some age-appropriate activities for an additional fee.
- Morning activities include making dream catchers, leather branding, wood burning, rock painting, and nature walks.
- Afternoon offerings include interactive counselor-led games, panning for gold, pond fishing, nature walks, and horseback riding in the arena.
Family-Friendly Activities at Rawah Ranch
In addition to the children’s program, there are plenty of other activities available during your Colorado family vacation at Rawah:
- Children ages six and under can enjoy introductory riding sessions with a wrangler in our arena. Children over six can join the on and off-property horseback rides. Explore the beauty of the Laramie River Valley together on 22 trails.
- We offer hiking trails for all ages and abilities at the ranch. Take the Valley Trail and enjoy a leisurely stroll through the valley floor while looking for wildlife with the kids. Consult one of our guides for longer excursions.
- Children 12 and under can enjoy fishing in our pond, while kids over 12 can fish on the Big Laramie River. Every fly fishing adventure includes one of our professional guides who will provide older kids with personalized instructions, top-quality flies, and terminal gear.
- Most of our shooting and archery activities are open to kids over eight. Rest assured, these activities are conducted under the supervision of our certified instructors, and each participant receives comprehensive training.
- Attend evening activities on the ranch together, like bonfires, line dancing, trivia night, live music, and campfire storytelling.
