Horse walking through fall foliage at our all inclusive ranch in Colorado

What to Expect at an All-Inclusive Colorado Ranch: Your Questions Answered

Most people don’t know what a guest ranch is. Is it a resort with horses? A cattle ranch where visitors can tag along? Something out of an old Western movie? If you’re picturing a week in the Colorado mountains but can’t quite see what it looks like, you’re in good company. Rawah Ranch is a historic guest ranch with more than 75 years of Western hospitality, where lodging, meals and a full lineup of ranch adventures are all wrapped into one all-inclusive Colorado ranch. Below, we answer the questions guests ask before they arrive, from what’s included to what to pack, so you know just what a week at the ranch holds.

All-Inclusive Offerings at Rawah Ranch

What does “all-inclusive” mean at Rawah Ranch?

All-inclusive means one price covers everything you need for your trip. This includes daily activities, three meals a day, and lodging in a private cabin.

How much does an all-inclusive vacation at Rawah Ranch cost?

Rates are per person, per night. During our 2026 season, base rates were $850 for adults and $635 for kids ages 4–16, and children 3 and under stayed free. A three-night minimum applies, and taxes and fees are extra. See our packages and rates page for current pricing.

Is everything all-inclusive? Are there any additional activity fees?

Almost everything is. Massage services are the exception, and they require advance notice and a separate charge.

Ranch Activities and Daily Life

What does a typical day look like at Rawah Ranch?

A typical day at Rawah starts with a hearty breakfast in the Lodge. After breakfast, you’ll set off for authentic adventures like horseback riding, fly fishing or hiking. Return to the Lodge for lunch, then head back out for even more activities in the afternoon. Evenings bring a daily cocktail hour and sit-down dinner. From there, the fun continues with a different evening activity each night before you head back to your cabin for a restful night’s sleep.

What activities are included?

The main activities at the ranch are horseback riding, fly fishing, hiking, mountain biking, shooting and archery. Beyond these activities, we also have plenty of hidden gems to discover, like the goats, pigs and donkeys at Tiny Hiney Farm, games and vintage dress-up in our historic Saloon and a hot tub to soak in behind the Lodge.

Is there anything for kids?

Absolutely! Our children’s program is included in your stay and runs daily, with age-appropriate activities led by our staff.

Do I need horseback riding experience?

Nope! Riders of all skill levels are welcome, and our guides are on hand to show you the ropes before you hit the trails.

Planning Your All-Inclusive Colorado Ranch Vacation

When is the best time to visit Rawah Ranch?

The best time to visit is really up to you. We’re open from early June to early October, a short window that makes every week special. Planning a family vacation? Summer is probably your best bet. Couples looking for fall views and a more adult feel will love September, especially during our Adult Only week.

What should I wear to a Colorado guest ranch?

Pack long jeans, sturdy closed-toe boots, a hat and sunscreen. At 8,400 feet, mornings and evenings run cool, so bring a warm jacket and a rain layer. We do provide cowboy boots if you need to borrow a pair.

How do I get to Rawah Ranch?

Getting here is half the fun! Most guests fly into Denver International Airport, rent a car, and drive the rest of the way to the ranch. Read our blogs for more information on how to get here and the stops to make along the way to Rawah.
